Gobble, Gobble, Wobble

I found some  Turkey cookies on pinterest that were so cute! I knew I wanted to make them for Thanksgiving and I thought it might be fun to let my son and niece help! Karmyn loved making them and Carter cooperated. I think we ended up with more broken oreos than turkeys, but that happens with 6 year old helpers.
Happy Thanksgiving  Everyone!

So Blessed- ThanksgivingI

Fall is my favorite time of year... cool crisp weather, football, beautiful fall leaves, & 2 holidays. This year we are spending Thanksgiving with my sister and her Family in NC, but i still decorated my house. After all, its my favorite!

This Turkey alway's set on my Mema's Table.
It's my favorite Thanksgiving Decoration.

Life in Pictures

I love to take pictures.. another hobby of mine.  I do not always like to have my picture taken.  What is it about us mom's? Always behind the camera! Does it have something to do with getting older or is it the 20+ pounds I need to loose? Don't answer that!  = ) My sweet little boy won a cutest kid contest on Bel Momento Photography's Facebook page. One of the prizes was a photo shoot.  Little did I know... my dear sweet friend Amanda, aka the photographer, had plans to turn this into a family shoot and I love her for it.  I had no choice, but to step in front of the camera for a couple of pictures at least.  Her sneak peak was amazing! Can't wait to see the rest! Looking for a photographer in the Memphis area checkout http://www.belmomentophotography.com/

I AM NOT a Turkey!

Carter brought home a project for school to disguise a Turkey for Thanksgiving (with help from the parents).  After much discussion and debate,  he decided on a monster truck driver.  Big Surprise! Carter's most favorite thing in the whole wide world is cars and monster trucks fall in that category.  He has quite a collection of trucks, so choosing just one driver was a difficult decision.  Grave Digger is not his favorite driver, but he's one of the more famous driver's that would be easily recognized by his classmates. We made puffy mud paint by mixing Elmer's glue,  Barbasol shaving cream and craft paint (a recipe I found on pinterest). His end result was very cute, if I do say so myself. The video is of Carter reading his story he wrote for the project.
