Masterpieces by the Master
I have been enjoying the beauty of springtime, even if my allergies have not. I often look up at the sky and think...He painted a picture for me today. God's handiwork is evident! Psalm 19:1 says," The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.". I love to take sky pictures and probably have hundreds. I have tried to be selective in choosing the ones I post. Enjoy the beauty of the Master.

Think outside the box
Spring has sprung, well it will officially tomorrow! I am beyond ready for spring! Can't wait to get my hands in the dirt. My husband did some work in the yard this weekend, but I'm ready to move some things and plant some seeds. You don't have to have an enormous cutting garden to beautify your home. The smallest and simplest containers can be turned into bud vases adding that little pop of color and happiness to your room.
I rescued these Salt and Peppers from the trash, when we closed my Grandfather's restaurant.
They are going to be the perfect little bud vases to add to the table decor at my friends wedding.
I can't wait to go shopping for flowers with her. Of course, I will post a picture of the finished project, but until then here's a couple
of S&P bud vase pics I found online.

Gotta love technology = )
Shopping for antiques is one of my favorite things to do. I love strolling thorough the aisles, looking at all the vintage treasure. I always seem to find more treasure than my pocket book can afford, so my game plan is to browse before deciding which items I will take home that day! I take pictures of my favorites (making sure the tag is shown in the picture). This helps me keep in mind the price of the item and the booth # it was located in. I love that I have an iphone; i also use the internet to check out a label or stamp, insuring that the item is a good deal! Most cellphones have a camera now a days, but if yours doesn't; you can always bring your camera along.

Dish Obssesion
I love all thing vintage, but if you ask any of my friends that I antique with, they'll tell you that I have a thing for dishes. Ironstone, Silver, Crystal, Milkglass, Ruby glass... Pfaltzgraff, Stratfordshire, Fiestaware.. Hobnail, Octagons, or Swirls...They make my Heart flutter. I remember the first pieces I purchased....
of cream colored dishes. Here are a few of my latest finds. I love the ruffle on the edge of the pink plate and I was so excited to find this piece of Ironstone. I had never seen the cane pattern before. I think I want to use them in a wall display. Maybe in my office. Guess that means I need to go shopping for a few more dishes! = )
Picture borrowed from pinterest... papernstitch.com
I found them in the bargain section of a local goodwill store. An 8 pc set of cream Pfaltzgraff cups and saucers; it was love at first sight and a steal at $1.60 for the set.
Then for my birthday my Mom bought me a
set of Stratfordshire, Old Chelsea, Swirl....
(this picture borrowed from pinterest)... Not a
complete set...mostly plates... saucers...bowls
I have a total of 16 dinner plates, so I'm ready
to party. I didn't set out to collect a particular
pattern. I love all cream dishes. I was inspired
by Southern Living At Home. A Company that
I absolutely love, but can't always afford. They
had a beautiful set of cream dishes for sale. Cream
dishes will go with just about anything and could
be used for any season or celebration. I also like
the eclectic look of matching different patterns and
gives your table a layered effect. They are also
beautiful items to display in your china cabinet,
built in bookshelf or hang it straight on the wall.
I believe these classics will simply never go out of
style. But my obsession does extend past the world
Pinterest Inspired
Ok..Ok.. I know that February has come and gone,
but I am having trouble parting with my door decor.
This Pinterest inspired piece did not take much time,
but has been greatly enjoyed.
The frame I stole from my mother {Thanks Mom!}
and the hearts came from my
ornament collection ( at Christmas I do a <3 tree in my living room).
Hearts are just happy things and one of my many collections.
They just make me feel happy and loved.
I hope you like it as much as I do
and know that you make me happy too.
